Job Summary
Promote safety culture through toolbox talks, committee participation, and positive reinforcement programs while developing and sustaining the Quality Management System in line with industry requirements. Direct the Quality Assurance department by managing in-process inspections, receiving inspection, documentation of supplier certifications, part qualification, measurement, testing, and gage calibration. Lead daily Gemba walks aligned with Kaizen continuous improvement processes, investigate customer complaints, and drive root cause analysis to prevent defects. Manage non-conformances from suppliers, coordinate SCARs, and establish KPIs to measure quality performance across internal manufacturing and suppliers. Partner with Engineering, Operations, and suppliers to set product quality control requirements for new products and prepare PPAP documents for customers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in managing a Quality Assurance department
- Ability to lead and coach teams for talent development
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and industry requirements
- Experience conducting audits to ensure compliance
- Ability to manage supplier quality and mitigate vulnerabilities in supplier systems
- Experience managing non-conformances and driving corrective actions (SCARs)
- Knowledge of PPAP and quality documentation
- Ability to perform customer audits, surveys, and complaints management
- Experience with military part inspection using MIL specifications
- Ability to establish and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quality performance
- Experience with housekeeping audits, 5S audits, and Voluntary Protection Partnership (OSHA)
- Ability to facilitate meetings to communicate Quality Management System health and trends
