Job Summary
Check production and bulk raw material batches against standard specifications using analytical tools, comparing wet and dry samples to identify deviations. Advise batchmakers of necessary adjustments and recheck products until they meet specifications, recording all results in D365. Consult the Quality Control manual for analysis requirements and discuss products exceeding 10% variance with the QC manager. Calibrate equipment as needed and compile tabulated data for analysis. Requires high school diploma, proficiency in Excel, and ability to stand for extended periods in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Proficient math and written communication skills
- Good computer skills – knowledge of Excel required
- Occasional lifting and/or carrying of up to 40 lbs
- Standing for extended periods of time (approximately 90% of 8-hour shift)
- Employee must work with limited supervision following written and verbal instructions
Desired Qualifications
- Up to three years in industry related QC field helpful
- Prior batchmaking experience helpful
- Successful completion of Munsel Color test, helpful
- Familiarity with products used in batchmaking processes
- Familiarity with standard analytical tools
