Job Summary
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of aircraft parts, structures, and systems using micrometers, gauges, calipers, and NDT equipment. Perform primary, buy-back, and borescope inspections while interpreting blueprints and retrieving technical data from maintenance manuals. Document discrepancies accurately in inspection logs and ERP systems, ensuring all work adheres to FAA standards and safety protocols. Requires an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate, three years of aircraft maintenance experience, and ability to work the 2nd shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English regarding safety sensitive work activities, per FAA requirements
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate in good standing
- Minimum of three (3) years of aircraft maintenance experience on aircraft types consistent with those serviced by Flightstar
- Knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques
- Knowledge of related work techniques
- Knowledge of terminology
- Knowledge of parts
- Ability to perform daily transactions within Flightstar's ERP system (AMROS)
- Ability to perform vending (POU)
- Ability to research customer's maintenance manuals
- Ability to lift and carry hand tools, parts, and work materials
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders and platforms
- Ability to work in a variety of positions such as stooping, kneeling or squatting
- Ability to work safely and follow safety rules and regulations
- Ability to report unsafe working conditions and behavior
- Ability to take reasonable prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices
- Ability to adhere to Flightstar's SMS safety culture
