Job Summary
QC Field Technician manages product quality and performs ongoing ACI/ASTM concrete and raw materials testing, imports data into spreadsheets, evaluates standards, educates plant personnel and drivers on quality and Verifi usage, investigates product anomalies, conducts audits, visits job sites and assists in laboratory testing, while completing required paperwork and communicating findings to management.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from college, university or technical school with 1-2 years related experience and/or training
- ACI Field Grade 1 Certification required, or ability to pass written and hands on test within 6 months of hire
- Current, valid state driver’s license required
- Satisfactory driving and criminal record
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
- Proficient in performing simple math calculations and measurements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Must be able to differentiate colors
- Ability to meet physical demands (occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing steps/ladders, etc.)
- Experience with data entry and testing procedures related to concrete and materials
- Knowledge of ASTM/ACI testing protocols (concrete and raw materials)
- Experience in auditing materials handling procedures and batching processes
- Experience visiting job sites and interacting with customers
