Job Summary
QC Analyst role in an Ireland-based GMP laboratory focusing on testing pharmaceutical substances (raw materials and drug substances) with GC and HPLC analysis, under SGS/ISL supervision. Responsibilities include training analysts, carrying out testing according to procedures, maintaining equipment and calibrations, inventory management, data entry to LIMS, reviewing results for compliance, leading investigations and deviations when required, ensuring audit-ready laboratory records and safety, and producing documentation (SOPs/methods/reports). Requires a Science Degree in Chemistry (Level 7+) and around 2 years of GMP lab experience; proficiency with analytical technologies (HPLC, GC, KF, IR, PSD, X-ray, wet chemistry) and LIMS/Trackwise; strong communication, problem solving, and team collaboration skills. The role emphasizes Right First Time, on-time testing, and alignment with client and SGS KPIs.
Required Qualifications
- Science Degree in Chemistry (Level 7 minimum)
- 2 years experience in a GMP laboratory PQE
- Data Integrity and knowledge of analytical technologies (HPLC, GC, KF, IR, PSD, Xray, Wet chemistry)
- Aptitude in lab computer systems, including LIMS and Trackwise
- Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
- Strong analytical ability and problem solving
