Job Summary
Oversee quality control functions across three quarries and a specialty products location, implementing standards and inspecting production output to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Develop Quality Control Technicians, monitor their work, and evaluate resources necessary to meet quality goals. Assist in maintaining permits with environmental agencies while managing multiple facilities and labs. This role requires a proven leader with three to five years of experience in aggregates and asphalt testing, blending, and supervision. Base salary ranges from $90,000 to $105,000, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable knowledge of Asphalt and Aggregate testing and design procedures
- Proficient in blending aggregates and asphalt to specifications to conform to VDOT requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior management to accelerate the improvement and differentiation of existing products
- Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop Quality Control Technicians
- 3-5 years of experience dealing with aggregates and asphalt
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Technology or related field of study preferred
- An Associate's degree and/or 3-5 years of direct industry experience will be considered
- 3+ years of experience managing Quality Control labs and overseeing multiple facilities is preferred
- Certifications in Soils & Aggregate Testing preferred
