QAQC Supervisor - Fabrication Shop

Job Summary
Lead the QA/QC Project Team by ensuring the First-in Inspection process reduces fabrication errors and promoting resolution of quality issues with the Project Team. Audit execution of the Project Specific Quality Control Plan to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and engage with the General Contractor's Quality Assurance Manager for inspection planning and non-conformance management. Conduct analysis, inspection, design, and testing to assure product quality while applying statistical process control methods to evaluate process changes. Direct technical and administrative workers, review design documentation for compliance, and prepare reports to communicate involvement and results. Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes, including ASME B31 piping codes, and develop new approaches to solve problems identified during activities. Schedule is Monday through Friday starting at 6:00 or 7:00 am until 5:00 pm, with an 8-hour workday.
Required Qualifications
- CWI Certification
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- 10 years of overall experience and/or training
- at least 8 years of experience in Quality Control focused on ASME B31 piping codes, industrial and commercial construction, fabrication, welding, non-destructive testing, and/or other similar fields
- Current certification in accordance with AWS QC-1 as a Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), and /or ICC Mechanical - Commercial Certification
- At least 3 years of experience leading and managing direct reports
- Proficient understanding of ASME Section IX BP&V Code

Desired Qualifications
