Job Summary
Conduct daily quality inspections and oversee site layout activities to verify workmanship meets project specifications and company standards. Review drawings, coordinate design discrepancies with the Site Supervisor and Foreman, and enforce all General Contractor requirements and RWC safety policies. Coach and mentor crews on quality expectations, installation standards, and best practices while maintaining accurate documentation through photographs and inspection records. Track and report deficiencies caused by subcontractors or RWC, document trade damages, and resolve quality and performance issues promptly. Requires minimum 10 years of trade experience, Red Seal Certification, and proficiency with digital construction software.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of trade experience
- Sound command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to be resourceful and anticipate potential issues
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the trade
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
- Proficient with technology including iPads and digital construction software for documentation and reporting
- Ability to document work through photographs and detailed notes
- Strong engineering and construction aptitude
- Holding or actively pursuing Red Seal Certification, or competency in all aspects of the trade
- Level 1 First Aid, Boom Lift and Scissor Lift and Fall Protection certification
- Supervisor's Responsibility Training
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high-quality workmanship under project deadlines
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams, clients, consultants, and General Contractors
