Job Summary
Conduct functional, performance, and accessibility testing of BI reports and data assets migrated from Cognos to Power BI. Execute system integration, specialized, and user acceptance tests while managing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and summary reports. Establish procedures for integration, regression, and interoperability testing to validate compliance with departmental standards. Capture and communicate test results via Azure DevOps, wikis, and SharePoint documentation, providing status reporting to the Project Authority. Manage walkthroughs and reviews for implementation readiness.
Required Qualifications
- QA/Testing for Reporting
- Power BI
- Enhanced Reliability Minimum Security Clearance
- English language proficiency
- Canadian citizenship (10 years)
- Graduated from either college or university (any discipline)
- Interest in business & technology
- Experience conducting system integration tests
- Experience conducting specialized tests
- Experience conducting user acceptance tests
- Experience with SharePoint Online
- Experience with Power BI Service
- Experience with Microsoft Data & Analytics Stack
- Experience with Power BI Desktop
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics Workspaces
- Experience with Azure Machine Learning Workspaces
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2
- Planning and conducting Quality assurance and testing activities for BI/Reporting systems and dataassets
- Organizing and scheduling testing efforts including the required testing resources
- Establishing software testing procedures for integration testing and regression testing
- Establishing and operating interoperability testing procedures
- Establishing a validation and verification capability which assumes functional and performance compliance
- Capturing and communicating test results
- Status reporting
- Test planning and coordination including the creation and documentation of test plans; test scenarios, test scripts, test summary reports and other documents as required
- Conducting functional, performance and accessibility testing of applications
- Management and monitoring of test plans for all levels of testing
- Management of walkthroughs and reviews related to testing and implementation readiness
