Job Summary
Senior QA Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers. Lead in-sprint quality initiatives, monitor performance and security aspects (HIPAA-compliant), and embed automated checks into CI/CD. Collaborate with development teams to validate end-to-end data flows (MongoDB, Postgres, DB2), contribute to test plans and quality dashboards, and mentor junior QEs. Requires strong Java/JavaScript automation skills, Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and experience with Jira/Zephyr. Located in Hyderabad, India with on-site responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- QA/Automation Experience: 4-6 years in quality assurance and test automation for web/services
- Proficiency in Java and/or JavaScript for test and utility code
- Hands-on with Selenium WebDriver and TestNG; build runners and utilities with Maven; IDE: IntelliJ IDEA
- API testing with REST APIs using RestAssured; Postman for validations
- Performance testing with JMeter or similar for load/perf in pipelines
- CI/CD familiarity with Jenkins or GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps; gating builds on test quality signals
- SDLC & Agile: understanding of software lifecycle, Agile/Scrum, shift-left quality practices
- Test management with Jira and Zephyr (or equivalent) for planning, tracing, reporting
- Data & databases: experience validating data with MongoDB, Postgres, and DB2; ability to write queries
- Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Ability to work across time zones and collaborate with onshore/offshore teams
- Experience in contributing to automation strategy, test plans, and runbooks
- Mentorship: experience coaching junior QEs/testers
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements
- Automation-first mindset and experience delivering automated test suites
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
