Job Summary
QA Tester needed for a hybrid role based in Brooklyn, NY. Responsibilities include translating agency requirements into detailed, testable specifications; creating test scenarios and integration test cases; reviewing and gaining acceptance of test cases; analyzing test procedures, data requirements, and creating a test data plan; implementing test scripts using a defined testing methodology; and preparing GIS address point data for validation in an NG911 system. Required skills include extensive Selenium automation experience (frameworks using Java), proficiency with test planning and management tools (Jira, HP ALM, GitHub), knowledge of black-box and white-box testing, familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Azure), and ability to collaborate with remote teams. A BS/BA degree is required, and the role is described as hybrid with at least two on-site days in Brooklyn, NY.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA undergraduate degree
- 8+ years experience as a QA analyst
- Extensive experience with Selenium Automation and creating automation frameworks using Selenium and Java
- Experience in reviewing and understanding business and technical requirements; preparing and executing test plans
- Experience with testing tools and generating detailed reports
- Experience with all test phases of software lifecycle (ATP, SAT, UAT, SIT)
- Experience with test management tools (Jira, HP/ALM, GitHub)
- Knowledge of test automation tools and test documentation experience
- Understanding of Black box and White box testing
- Experience with DevOps (Jenkins and/or Azure)
- Team player with ability to work independently and with remote teams
- Understanding of GIS address data preparation for NG911 systems
