Job Summary
Lead overall QA strategy, planning, and execution for a large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) SaaS implementation, including governance, schedules, and resource plans. Serve as the primary QA point of contact for program leadership, IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders while providing regular reporting on testing status, risks, metrics, and defects. Validate data migration, ETL processes, and interfaces for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all workflows meet business, clinical, regulatory, and compliance standards. Coordinate functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing across EHR modules, manage defect tracking and resolution, and guide UAT execution with business and clinical SMEs. Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining audit-ready documentation. Onsite in Austin, TX for a one-year government contract.
Required Qualifications
- 11+ years of experience in QA/Test Lead or QA/Test Manager roles
- 11+ years of hands-on experience with data validation, data migration, and ETL testing
- 11+ years of experience leading functional testing across EHR modules, including clinical, scheduling, orders, medications, documentation, and billing, with validation of end-to-end workflows across clinical and administrative roles
- 11+ years of experience leading validation testing for data migration and conversion from legacy EHR and ancillary systems, including validation of patient, clinical, pharmacy, billing, and historical records for accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation
- 11+ years of experience in coordinating testing of interfaces, inbound/outbound data feeds, and downstream reporting impacts
- 11+ years of experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and test evidence
- 11+ years of strong functional testing experience with EHR or healthcare SaaS platforms
- 11+ years of experience coordinating testing activities with vendors and multidisciplinary teams
- 11+ years of proficiency with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, ALM, or Jira
- 11+ years of experience working in Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments
- Must be able to work onsite at the client's site in Austin, TX
- Candidates local to Austin or willing to relocate
Desired Qualifications
- 8+ years of prior experience with EHR implementations (clinical, pharmacy, billing workflows)
- 6+ years of knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, CCD/A, ICD, and CPT, as applicable
- 6+ years of understanding of HIPAA, privacy, security, and government healthcare compliance requirements
- Experience supporting state or public sector healthcare systems
