Job Summary
Define test strategies, plans, and procedures for system capabilities while reviewing requirements to ensure testability and coverage. Develop test scenarios with traceability to functional and technical requirements, selecting appropriate manual, automated, integration, regression, and performance testing methods. Establish test environments and enforce design-for-testability policies to support defect triage, root cause discussions, and continuous process improvement. Coordinate test personnel and schedules to execute procedures and capture QA artifacts for release readiness assessments. This mission-critical role evolves a TRL-5 prototype into a TRL-8 product for a classified customer pilot within the Federal Solutions team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and relevant experience in software testing, systems testing, or quality engineering; equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree
- 8+ years' experience writing test strategies, plans, procedures, scenarios, and reports, with a focus on networking protocols, services, and encapsulation techniques
- Understanding of software testing types and methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into structured testing approaches
- Experience collaborating with engineers, developers, and technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- An Active Topsecret Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Agile software development environments
- Experience with test management, defect tracking, and requirements traceability tools
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and API testing tools, to include hybrid on-premises and cloud environments
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Experience with CI/CD or build pipeline tools and integrated testing tools
- Familiarity with microservices, cloud environments, or service-based architectures
