Job Summary
QA Technician I at Jabil provides administrative and technical support to the Quality Engineer to enhance the QA Department's capabilities. Responsibilities include preparing visual aids, calibration tracking lists, assisting the Quality Engineer or Technician, preparing raw data for analysis, performing routine process and product audits, helping to create machine programs, following up on new product introductions and experiments, monitoring SPC status, reviewing defect samples and purge processes, helping to setup MES for new products, and following up on DA/ECN/CAPA activities, including review of non-conformance material. The role supports governance and quality improvement activities across engineering and manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to read and understand visual aid
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
- Be aware of fraud information handling and security best practices
