Job Summary
Conduct physical observations of the processing environment, product quality, and packaging defects while notifying personnel of variations. Segregate and secure any product not meeting food safety or quality criteria, and record all results from inspections and monitoring activities. Provide written and verbal observations to drive improvement of food safety and quality compliance, including pre-op inspections to verify machinery maintenance, sanitation, and employee safety. Monitor and verify compliance to HACCP programs, CCP monitoring, SSOPs, and GMPs, and collect microbiological samples for the lab per customer requirements. This role supports JBS Prepared Foods USA's mission to lead in protein-centric prepared foods within a start-up environment backed by a global powerhouse.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience and technical knowledge in a variety of production jobs
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Able to multitask in a changing environment
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak multiple languages preferred
