Job Summary
Perform analysis of products returned from customers or the field to identify defects and causes. Execute function tests and measurements on new, redesigned, and existing products using equipment in the Analysis or CMM room. Test product reliability according to customer needs and timescales while producing clear, accurate reports for testing, investigation, and measurement results. Inspect test equipment regularly and perform basic repairs and maintenance, maintaining basic procedures and SOPs. Support customer and supplier PPAP submissions and assist the production department with ad hoc duties such as containment activities. Requires ONC level engineering education, GD&T knowledge, CMM programming skills, and at least two years of manufacturing experience.
Required Qualifications
- In depth knowledge of GD&T
- CMM programming skill
- Operation of test stands
- Functional knowledge of automotive parts
- Report writing skills
- Communication skills
- Fault finding skills
- Ability to identify the basic causes of faults
- ONC level or further education in Engineering field
- PC literate
- Word/Excel proficiency
- At least 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Programming experience
- Using CMM's experience
