Job Summary
Conduct internal audits, equipment calibrations, and timely qualitative/quantitative testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to verify food safety and product quality. Investigate deviations and consumer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and enforce SQF, regulatory, and customer standards while maintaining accurate documentation for traceability. Collaborate with departments to implement corrective and preventive actions, troubleshoot testing instruments, and assist with production line validation. Escalate food safety issues and support safety initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of quality assurance experience
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
- Knowledge of food safety, microbiology, and sanitation concepts
- Familiarity with regulatory certifications (Kosher, Organic, RSPO, Non-GMO, Gluten Free)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to apply mathematical reasoning to practical situations
- Highly organized with excellent troubleshooting and prioritization skills
- Able to think critically in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Interacts professionally with honesty, integrity, and respect
- Must be able to tolerate humid, wet working environments with temperatures up to 100 degrees F
- Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, shoulder-to-overhead and pushing/pulling/carrying
- Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend/twist neck and back; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands
