Job Summary
QA Technician responsible for inspecting products to specifications and documenting defects to prevent recurrence; assist plant personnel with food safety and sanitation issues; verify compliance with food safety and quality regulations; review sanitation programs and perform pre-operational sanitation; properly use and calibrate analytical instruments; analyze product chemistry (salts, moisture, fats, proteins) and track trends; maintain meticulous documentation and traceability; conduct swabs and validation tests, provide backup support for technicians, and support SQF audits while ensuring GMP adherence in a cool, damp production environment; work schedule typically Mon–Fri with potential weekend work, and the role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
