Job Summary
Conduct internal and external food safety audits by performing inspections, reviewing documents, recording findings, and creating corrective actions. Develop, revise, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, forms, specifications, and the quality manual while managing document control and revision history. Lead the trace and recall program to ensure full product traceability, perform traces and mock recalls, and manage the plant hold program including maintenance of hold logs, inventory, and product dispositioning with USDA assistance. Provide backup support to QA Leads and Supervisors, monitor the quality system at the Northwest Packing plant, and assist in monthly SQF audits. Requires 3+ years of food quality experience, HACCP knowledge, and bilingual Spanish/English skills; extended schedule and weekends during fresh pack season (July to early November).
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of related food quality experience
- 3+ years of food manufacturing experience
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Ability to pass a background check including employment and educational verification
- Ability to pass a credit screen
- Ability to work extended schedule
- Ability to work weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish/English language abilities
- Knowledge and experience in HACCP
- Experience in developing and maintaining HACCP records
- Knowledge of Safe Quality Food (SQF) processes and programs
