Job Summary
Audit, document, and enforce USDA and facility regulations by performing checks to ensure food safety and quality programs are followed. Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, and HACCP procedures to maintain compliance with federal regulations, while working with FSIS/USDA to present required records. Aid the QA Supervisor in gathering data for investigations and collaborate with production associates to monitor meat product AQL standards, correcting deficiencies and notifying management of violations. Maintain lab equipment through proper cleaning and regular maintenance. This second-shift position requires flexibility for overtime and weekends, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work in both hot and cold environments.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and some weekends
- Must be willing to learn all aspects of food safety
- Must have strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Must be willing to work in both hot and cold environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
