QA Supervisor

Job Summary
Supervise daily laboratory operations and output accuracy for approximately 12 direct reports across three separate testing areas: physical testing, analytical chemistry, and beverage functional testing. Conduct lot batch review and release, manage laboratory testing schedules, and direct instrument calibration and standardization programs. Identify process improvements to enhance throughput, efficiency, and cost savings while interpreting quality data trends for continuous product improvement. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IPEC, GFSI, and GMP standards, including safety and environmental duty of care for the 24/7 biogum manufacturing plant. Lead technical direction and development initiatives to optimize testing methods and troubleshoot quality issues.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or Microbiology
- Five plus years lab experience
- Laboratory supervisory experience
- Some knowledge in GLP's, (pharmaceutical & food), SAP, LIMS or similar software systems and quality systems
- Good computer skills
- Working knowledge of safety and environmental issues
- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)

- Laboratory supervisory experience
- Some knowledge in GLP's, (pharmaceutical & food), SAP, LIMS or similar software systems and quality systems
- Previous experience leading teams
- Must stay abreast of technological advancements in an effort to improve testing efficiency and trouble shooting skills
