Job Summary
Supervise daily production floor activities for QA technicians, ensuring all quality tasks are executed as desired. Provide guidance on quality and food safety issues to operations and QA teams while coaching staff to support business growth. Coordinate quality activities, maintain inventory of QC supplies, and organize operational paperwork daily. Support the execution of internal and third-party audits, analyze inspection results, and assist with product releases and hold/trace programs. Perform daily product and customer complaint reviews, reduce foreign object contamination, and assume QA Manager responsibilities during absences. Work weekends as necessary to maintain a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Previous knowledge working in food production Quality Assurance department
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Must have a flexible schedule including working weekends, as necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
- Follows production dress code standards and maintains good personal hygiene
- Employee must lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to push/pull up to 45 pounds
