QA Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Job Summary
Supervise daily activities of QA Technicians and coordinate quality tasks to maintain an effective food safety and quality management system. Provide guidance on quality and food safety issues, coach the team, and communicate daily with FSQA Techs regarding production schedules and QA problems. Train new employees, maintain inventory of QC supplies, and support production managers during formula changes or product issues. Review operational paperwork, analyze audit results, oversee product releases, and perform daily product and customer complaint reviews. Serve as backup to the QA Manager and assume responsibilities in his or her absence.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Previous knowledge working in food production Quality Assurance department
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Must have a flexible schedule including working weekends, as necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to push/pull up to 45 pounds
