Job Summary
Provide leadership and execution of the plant Quality Assurance functions to support Case Farms' focus on product quality and food safety. Serve as the plant authority on all quality matters and collaborate with the Complex QA/FS Manager to maintain product safety and quality. Lead the QA Department, develop and implement quality measurements, enforce food safety standards, lead continuous improvement initiatives, mentor QA staff, and maintain documentation. Coordinate with USDA and communicate QA programs to plant management, sales, and corporate teams; provide timely data and analysis for decision making.
Required Qualifications
- BS Degree or higher in poultry, animal, or food science. Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Understanding of management principles and team concepts.
- General knowledge of plant functions – production, maintenance, warehouse, shipping, sanitation and GFSI concepts.
- Must be a team player and understand how to develop in-depth programs which are operationally functionable while providing protection to the organization and consumers.
