QA SQF Practitioner

Job Summary
QA SQF Practitioner responsible for maintaining and performing all aspects of product quality control and safety programs to ensure continuous production of consistent product in compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory requirements. Duties include creating or updating internal policies and procedures to satisfy SQF requirements; analyzing product quality and safety metrics, audit data, customer feedback, and regulatory changes; assisting in training plant personnel on SQF and food safety topics; ensuring HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, and all Quality programs are followed; coordinating investigation and resolution activities for regulatory concerns and recording appropriate corrective actions; reviewing QA paperwork for accuracy; modifying forms to streamline QA workflow and increase transparency; communicating with departments regarding product quality or record-keeping issues; staying updated with food safety requirements and industry best practices; assisting Project Manager/R&D Director with special projects and high-priority objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in microbiology, Food Science, or equivalent field is preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in QA, production and hands-on lab testing in food industry
- SQF practitioner
- HACCP
- PCQI
- FSVP certification or ability to become certified
- Must be detail oriented and computer savvy, Excel and Word
- Ability to read and write in English for paperwork and training purposes
