Job Summary
QA Specialist I / SQF Practitioner responsible for inspections and testing of cans and packaging per procedures, calibration of hand tools and gages, maintaining QA records, and leading training on quality procedures, GMP, and measurement techniques. Maintains SQF Food Safety System and HACCP-based risk management; plans and leads audits; develops sampling plans and analyzes results to drive process improvements. Requires proficiency with MS Office, HACCP training, strong technical writing, effective communication, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a production environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum associate’s degree from two-year college or university or 10+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance
- Must have completed HACCP training or have prior experience in maintaining Food Safety Management programs
- Must possess effective technical writing skills
- Must be able to work well and communicate effectively with others
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent attendance and dependability
