QA/QC Specialist

Job Summary
Sample incoming materials and conduct analysis using basic chemistry functions to validate facility acceptance criteria and profile compliance. Perform laboratory sample receipt, preparation, routine analysis, storage, tracking, and disposal of samples and lab-generated waste. Manage waste inventory, emergency response, and assist with waste determinations, profile management, and consolidation according to permits and customer preferences. Prepare outgoing sample shipments in accordance with regulations and assist with general facility compliance checks, SOP implementation, and process reviews. Report to designated office within one hour during emergency response rotating shifts and work flexible hours Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in environmental science, safety or a related degree
- 2+ years of industry or relative Military experience
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
- Must have a reliable form of transportation
- Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
- Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
- Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts
- Ability to put on and take off personal protective equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior relevant industry experience
- Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification
- Willingness to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Strong communication, problem solving, and relationship building skills
