Job Summary
QA/QC Refractory Technician responsible for supporting quality assurance and quality control activities on projects, conducting visual and physical inspections, testing materials and equipment, documenting results, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, ISO/ASTM standards, and regulatory requirements. Collaborates with production teams, engineers, and maintenance staff to resolve quality issues, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure calibration and proper use of inspection tools while adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a QA Tech, or in a related role within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employer sponsorship not available
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in quality assurance testing techniques, including visual, mechanical, and functional inspections.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and defects accurately.
- Understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to quality control (e.g., ISO, OSHA, EPA regulations).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and coordinating with other teams.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
