QA/QC Manager - Interior Design

Job Summary
QA/QC Manager for interior projects overseeing quality across all phases—from concept to client delivery. You will review construction documents to ensure alignment with design intent and project specifications, develop training modules, collaborate with the QAQC team on standards and inspection protocols, and communicate QA findings clearly to designers, principals, vendors, and clients. You will shepherd procurement through to punch list resolution, manage risk early in the design and construction process, and uphold the studio’s standards for finishes, furnishings, and installations while maintaining strong relationships and ensuring project alignment with design goals and client expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in interior design, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field or equivalent professional experience
- 8 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or senior project management within interior design, architecture, or a related design discipline
- Experience reviewing and interpreting construction documents, shop drawings, finish schedules and FF&E specifications with a discerning eye for detail
- Experience managing full procurement cycles from purchase order issuance through delivery inspection and punch list resolution
- Proficiency in Revit
- Solid understanding of building codes, ADA requirements and relevant material and product standards (ANSI, BIFMA, ASTM)
- Experience producing clear, well-organized QAQC documentation including inspection reports, deficiency logs and closeout packages
- Strong internal communication skills and ability to deliver candid, constructive feedback to designers and principals
- Strong external communication skills and ability to correspond professionally with vendors, contractors, tradespeople and clients
- NCIDQ Certification or a comparable professional credential (preferred)
- Familiarity with LEED and WELL certifications (preferred)
- LEED AP WELL AP or similar credential is a plus
