QA/QC Intern - Quality Assurance & Documentation

Job Summary
Develop, review, and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, forms, and other documentation. Assist with process mapping, workflow documentation, and identifying process improvement opportunities. Support document control, quality records, tracking logs, and reporting. Assist with audits, inspections, documentation reviews, and corrective action tracking. Prepare and organize reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other QA/QC materials. Conduct research and assist with special projects as assigned. Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical records. Perform other duties as assigned by the QA & Documentation Manager. Primarily office based with periodic exposure to transit, rail, maintenance, and operational environments.
Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate or currently pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, Business, Operations, Transportation, Technical Writing, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and navigate office and operational areas
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to review detailed documents and computer screens
- Must maintain regular attendance
- Must comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Must complete required training
- Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality
