Job Summary
The QA/QC Field Coordinator is responsible for communicating quality standards, ensuring compliance with construction methods, conducting audits, and supporting the use of quality assurance systems. This role involves analyzing contract documents, participating in quality committee meetings, mentoring field personnel, and maintaining documentation of field operations. Candidates must possess an Associate’s Degree in a relevant field and have at least one year of relevant work experience. Key required skills include proficiency in construction measuring tools and construction quality processes, as well as strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Architecture, Construction Management or related field
- 1 year of work experience supporting key position responsibilities or equivalent combination of education and/or construction quality-related work experience
- Ability to perform work accurately and completely and in a timely manner
- Ability to setup and use PLS, Builders Level, Grade Stick, and Rotary Levels
- Understanding of ACI, PTI, and CRSI Tolerances
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, building codes and other technical product and material data
- Knowledge of material and field-testing for QA processes
- Knowledge of construction trades and scopes of work
Desired Qualifications
- PTI Certification preferred
- Proficient in MS Office
- Formal presentation skills
- Knowledge of construction assemblies for a variety of construction systems
- Ability to recognize non-compliant conditions and initiate corrective measures
