Job Summary
QA/QC Engineer Data Center Construction responsible for coordinating Engineering and Construction teams to drive commissioning (Cx) processes, ensuring the overall quality of data center construction projects, with emphasis on installation, commissioning, and service of critical infrastructure systems. Role requires knowledge of multi-facility operations and Maintenance programs, development of operating procedures, and experience with L1-L3 commissioning, documenting processes, SOPs/MOPs, and QA inspections. Candidate will support Mission Critical O&M initiatives, coordinate with contractors/vendors, lead commissioning meetings, perform site walk-throughs to ensure SOPs/MOPs adherence, oversee L1-L3 QA inspections of equipment (electrical/mechanical), and contribute to reporting, documentation, and process improvement. Must have strong communication with business and operations managers, and be open to travel. Strong technical skills in critical power, mechanical systems, HVAC, electrical power equipment, and data center operations, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, BIM 360, CxAlloy, and end-user asset management systems. Open to travel Monday-Friday with home on weekends; located for projects near Montgomery, AL. EOE/AA employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience
- NETA certification a plus
- Journeyman License a plus
- L1, L2, L3 Cx testing experience in a Data Center Environment a huge plus
- 2-5 years of experience in data center facility operations, commissioning, or military
- 2-5 years of Quality Assurance / Quality Controls, Commissioning, MEP Coordination, or other relevant experience
- Experience with BIM 360 / ACC, CxAlloy, end user ACMS as necessary
