Job Summary
Review and report Quality Assurance and Quality Control data while improving testing procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Resolve quality issues related to instrument reliability, maintenance, and turnaround time. Conduct waste sample collection, characterization, and analytical testing across incineration and treatment plants, managing long-term waste inventories. Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and corporate standards. Train staff on hazard communication and safe analytical techniques. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biology and two years of related experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Chemistry or Biology
- 2 years of experience in a related occupation
- 1 year experience to operate and trouble shoot and repair the instruments including Ion Chromatography, TOC Analyzer, 6400 Calorimeter, ICP (Agilent), Gas Chromatography
- 1 year experience communicating technical information to operations
- 1 year experience with environmentally regulated constituents related to the stack emissions
- 1 year experience in the hazardous waste industry
- 1 year experience working with analytical instrumentation
- 24-Hour HAZWOPER Training
- IATA Dangerous Goods Training
