QA Operative

Monitor and verify livestock and product to ensure compliance with legislative and customer specifications through daily checklists covering temperature, contamination, labels, weight, and packaging. Carry out inspections of incoming raw materials, packaging, ingredients, and consumables while verifying documentation, certificates of conformity, and traceability records. Assess materials on hold, escalate non-conformance issues, and maintain accurate intake records to preserve traceability. Liaise with stakeholders to resolve quality issues and support investigations into supplier complaints, foreign body incidents, and specification failures. Complete daily calibration checks on equipment, participate in internal and external audits, and take samples using the Trace Soft monitoring system for pH and DNA testing. Ensure all product leaving the site meets defined criteria and that labels are accurate and high quality. Complete all monitoring and verification practices in line with the H.A.C.C.P plan, maintaining accurate and legible documented records.
