Job Summary
QA Mechanical Inspector for AFG Group, Inc. responsible for inspecting construction in Mechanical/Plumbing across facilities such as clinical/patient care units, biomedical research laboratories (BSL-2/3/4), animal spaces, and cGMP-rated spaces. Requires interpreting drawings and specifications, preparing correspondence, maintaining site records via MS Office, and ensuring safety practices per OSHA. Must be capable of ascending/descending ladders, enduring outdoor conditions, and travel to Bethesda, MD area with daily local travel. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management and seven (7) years of practical construction inspection experience
- Two years degree, Trade/Vocation School certification, or Journeyman, Master tradesman or General Contractor’s License in a building trade or craft and ten (10) years of practical construction inspection experience
- High School Diploma and fifteen (15) years practical construction inspection experience in a building craft/trade
- Minimum OSHA 10-hour Construction Industry Outreach class
- Ability to obtain HSPD-12 security clearance
