Job Summary

QA Manager for Hardware Manufacturing at Redwire Space Components in Marlborough, MA. You will lead a small QA team of QA Engineers and QC inspectors in a hands-on working manager role, serving as the QA representative for customer reviews (CDR, MRR, TRR, PSR), reviewing proposals and contract requirements, and owning the quality management system. You will coordinate with parts engineering as GIDEP representative, manage internal audits as AS9100 Management Representative, and lead audits with customers, government, or AS9100 registrar. The role involves collaborating with manufacturing engineering to develop and approve methods for fabricating, inspecting and testing aerospace products, performing data analysis to identify root causes, driving corrective actions with cross-functional teams, leading non-conformance and failure investigations, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 while supporting safety audits and metrics reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Science or relevant field
  • 10+ years of QA Management experience in an Aerospace / Military industry
  • 5+ years’ experience in AS9100 and/or ISO9001 standards
  • Certified AS9100 auditor, preferably as a lead auditor
  • Knowledge of standard Aerospace Industry requirements
  • NASA 8739.1 and/or NAS8739.3 knowledge and/or certification
  • Experience with EE and Mechanical Drawings and Schematics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with continuous process improvement
  • In-depth understanding of technical documentation
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
