Job Summary
Manage the QA team to verify that the Quality Management System is executed each shift, every day, ensuring materials and finished products are safe and conform to all regulatory and customer specifications. Lead governance of HARPC/HACCP, GMPs, internal audits, CAPA, continuous improvement, and liaison with regulators (FDA/USDA) and external audits (SQF/BRC/GFSI). Drive training, production quality assurance, organoleptic panels, and incident resolution to uphold food safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- Certified HACCP (Required) Internal auditor and PCQI (Preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in QA systems and food safety auditing with experience writing audit reports and interpreting corrective action responses
- At least 2 years supervisory experience (people management)
- Valid Driver's license and ability to travel by air if needed
- Knowledge of Quality systems, HACCP, HARPC and GMPs (including SQF or BRC)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills
- Experience with regulators (FDA) and, preferably USDA
- Continuous improvement knowledge (Root Cause Analysis and CAPA)
- Proficient in Office, SharePoint, and ERP systems
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for food quality and safety
- Willingness to travel and work different shifts as needed
