QA Manager - Game Testing (CDMX)

Job Summary

Lead the QA Testing Production team by setting strategic goals, defining quality assurance processes, and establishing testing plans aligned with customer expectations. Coordinate with project managers and development teams to monitor multiple projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Oversee staff selection, training, and development while maintaining strong relationships with customers as the primary point of contact for escalated issues. Consult with the Sales team to solicit feedback, institute plans for new business, and develop strategies to safeguard existing revenue. Continuously assess department performance, identify process enhancements, and manage internal/external costs to achieve profitability goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Substantial experience within the Quality Assurance Testing in video game industry (10+ years)
  • Prior QA experience in management capacity (5+ years)
  • Proven experience with bug tracking systems like ADO, JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
  • Previous experience within a similar leadership role (3+ year)
  • Proven experience with Microsoft and Google platforms (MS Office, Google Docs, etc.)
  • Proficiency with project management and version control software tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (especially in the English language)
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willing to take on a flexible schedule and adapt to a team-focused mentality
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines
  • Customer oriented attitude

Desired Qualifications

  • Passion for the video games and translation industries
  • Knowledge of prior and current gen consoles, and PC
  • Understanding of digital technologies (mobile, tablets, browser tools, etc.)
  • Experience with testing tools and automation frameworks
  • Knowledge of scripting and basic coding
