Job Summary
Lead automation-first quality engineering for a platform combining voice, desktop, intelligence, and AI, focusing on weekly code deploys and fast-turnaround regression suites. Own quality strategy across the 1-week cadence, shipping automation patterns and gating production via the cross-service contract suite. Drive rapid detection and reporting with load/stress coverage for latency budgets, ensuring quality signals in minutes rather than days. Apply chaos and failure-injection mindsets to prove graceful platform degradation, while acting as a player-coach to build test-automation foundations from scratch. Manage future QA hires, set technical credibility with senior engineers, and use AI tools daily to multiply velocity through AI-assisted test generation. Demonstrate master issue-isolation skills, narrowing failures to specific services or commits to support dev teams.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years QA/SDET
- built a test-automation foundation from scratch for a fast-shipping product
- Master issue-isolator and root-cause debugger
- Fast regression discipline — parallelized suites, smart test selection, results in minutes
- Comfortable in high-load testing environments — load, stress, and soak testing of high-throughput, low-latency systems
- Experience testing event-driven systems, WebSocket flows, and browser extensions
- CI-native mindset — tests wired into trunk-based CI/CD
- flake management as a first-class discipline
- Contract/API testing between services
- synthetic data and traffic generation (simulated calls, event streams, audio) for repeatable real-time testing
