QA Lab Technician

Job Summary
Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with established procedures. Investigate non-conforming material placed on hold and assist in making decisions regarding material disposition. Conduct routine lab tests related to customer complaints and complete investigation reports. Develop and revise standard operating procedures and forms to support corrective actions. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and Safe Quality Food standards while performing safety checks and following safe work procedures. This day shift role (7am - 3pm, Monday - Friday) supports Winpak's vision of providing innovative packaging solutions for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and consumer product industries.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Two years of experience in a quality control or manufacturing environment
- Basic computer skills for data entry, analysis, and report generation
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Day shift which is 7am - 3pm, Monday - Friday
Desired Qualifications
- Technical education or degree
- Knowledge of quality tools and methods, including SPC, Six Sigma, or TQM
- Experience in a manufacturing or plastics environment, specifically in a quality-related role
- Experience with complaint follow-up and corrective/preventive action procedures
- ISO 9001 certification or experience in quality systems
- Experience with testing equipment and lab procedures
