QA Inspector

Job Summary
Monitor plant machinery, structures, and sanitation processes to ensure compliance standards are met before operations start. Perform audits for foreign material sources, verify equipment functionality including scale accuracy and metal detection systems, and inspect raw material trailers for seals and temperature set points. Conduct product sampling for micro and analytical tests, record data, and coordinate shipping of samples to laboratories. Measure quality factors of finished products such as fat, protein, temperature, and color, while inspecting and manifesting all finished goods. Report findings to management promptly and perform re-inspections prior to startup. Provide coverage as needed and assist with inventory checks for QA supplies.
Required Qualifications
- Basic math and writing skills
- General computer knowledge and proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have regular and punctual attendance
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60lbs
- Ability to walk, stand, twist, reach, bend, climb, and lift
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends
