QA Inspector - 1st shift (Aerospace)

Job Summary
Conduct dimensional and visual inspections on parts, tools, gages, and equipment using fixed and variable measuring instruments, including computerized machines, to verify production process integrity. Accept or reject material based on findings, perform necessary mathematical computations for non-conformance extent, and complete appropriate paperwork. Follow written inspection procedures, drawings, and operation sheets to perform in-line checks and verify that procedures are being followed. Arrange for repair or replacement of equipment as needed, perform routine servicing, and support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in 1st Article presentations, Production Lot Test initiatives, and internal program audits. Refer difficulties to higher-level supervisors and assist in investigating unusual non-conformances or training other employees.
Required Qualifications
- Must be capable & willing to assist or train other employees in this or lower classifications as needed.
- May be required to train for, obtain, and maintain licenses, operator permits, and certifications within assigned area or cell.
