Job Summary
QA/Infection Control Nurse roles to coordinate infection prevention and control programs within a long-term care/skilled nursing facility, review and revise policies, provide infection control training, monitor compliance via observations and audits, analyze surveillance data for unusual epidemics and pathogens, ensure precautions and isolation, support antibiotic stewardship, and lead/perf ormance improvement projects as part of the facility's QAPI Committee, while collaborating with nursing leadership and public health entities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school
- Current state license without encumbrance (RN preferred; LPN option described)
- CPR certification required
- Active licensure/continuing education as applicable
- Enrollment and progress in RN program if selected candidate is an LPN (within six months, completion within standard duration)
