Job Summary
QA Engineer at Tribes (remote-first, Bucharest hub) responsible for designing, maintaining, and executing automated test suites across frontend, backend, and API layers; leverage AI tooling to generate and review test cases, contribute to CI/CD quality gates, and ensure end-to-end test coverage across a portfolio of projects; collaborate with engineers from discovery through production, flag risks early, and produce clear defect reports to drive remediation.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in QA engineering, with a strong focus on test automation
- Hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks — Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent
- Ability to write and maintain tests in JavaScript or TypeScript
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and experience testing back-end services
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows
- Willingness to fully adopt AI-assisted workflows as a core part of how you work
- Good written and spoken English — you'll be working with UK-based stakeholders and engineering teams
- Self-directed — you take ownership, flag issues proactively, and drive quality without being chased
