Job Summary
Conduct end-to-end QA for SmartRead and SmartFind projects, managing test planning, design, execution, bug reporting, and post-release verification. Evaluate functional and non-functional requirements, address feedback during reviews, and scale UI/API automation coverage using Playwright and Python. Investigate test failures objectively and collaborate with developers to resolve issues smoothly. This bilingual role offers ownership of the entire QA lifecycle, from initial requirements to AI-assisted automation and load testing. Candidates must have foundational testing knowledge, practical understanding of automation, and native or JLPT N2 Japanese skills. Located in Roppongi, the position supports early to mid-career engineers seeking a results-driven environment with opportunities to master modern testing frameworks and contribute to cutting-edge AI products.
Required Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge or basic experience in software testing methodologies
- Practical understanding of (or a strong interest in mastering) UI/API test automation
- Strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and a proactive drive to learn
- Japanese: Native or JLPT N2 preferred (for application testing & stakeholder alignment)
- English: Conversational level or higher (for internal team collaboration)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with JIRA, Linux, or Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Any QA-related certification (ISTQB/JSTQB, CSTE)
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
