Job Summary
QA Engineer focusing on building and owning automation for engine and backend services using Playwright in a Node.js stack. Design, implement, and own complex automation tests spanning engine logic and backend services; perform manual validation of features across services, identify edge cases, manage test dependencies, and provide Go/No-Go signals. Proactively identify technical/delivery risks and partner with Product and Developers to define the Definition of Done. Diagnose production incidents and ensure post-mortem tests are added to prevent regressions. Improve testing pipelines, deployment gates, and internal QA tooling; adapt testing strategies as the product evolves and independently learn new frameworks. Strong emphasis on API/Integration/E2E testing, UI test stability, and web accessibility awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Deep experience with QA methodologies and automation (Playwright for E2E)
- Strong Node.js knowledge for automated test suites
- Proven track record in Agile environments
- Thorough understanding of DOM, browser rendering, and UI test stability
- Experience with API, Integration, and End-to-End testing
- Interest/experience in WCAG accessibility and responsive design (advantage)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure/testing environments (GCP – advantage)
- Python experience (advantage)
- Ability to learn new testing frameworks/technologies and pivot testing strategies as product evolves
- Strong collaboration with Product and Developers to define Definition of Done
- Ability to diagnose production incidents and implement post-mortem tests to prevent regressions
