QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary
QA Automation Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end) for frontend web applications and backend APIs/services. Participate in code reviews and quality reviews across all phases of the software development lifecycle. Analyze complex software systems and design scalable automated testing solutions. Contribute to Quality Assurance best practices, strategy, and testing methodologies across the organization. Design test strategies, create test plans, and execute test cases both manually and through automation. Leverage AI agentic frameworks to dynamically generate test cases, execute exploratory testing, and identify edge cases within complex software systems. Work on long-term projects for clients, with compensation in USD and remote opportunities in LATAM/US.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in QA and testing within a software development environment
- 2+ years of hands-on experience writing automated tests using Playwright
- 2+ years of experience coding with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- 1+ years of experience building test automation using Node.js and NPM
- Experience utilizing AI agentic tools and coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to generate, refactor, and maintain automated test suites and documentation
- Experience testing AI-powered applications, including LLM-based features, conversational interfaces, agentic workflows, and related API integrations
- Experience testing applications deployed on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers during troubleshooting and reviews
