Job Summary
Design and maintain Playwright-based automated test frameworks for web applications, integrating scripts into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid releases. Execute test plans, manage test data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define coverage and resolve defects. Log and track issues, conduct code reviews, and produce quality metrics for stakeholders while participating in Agile ceremonies. Support environment setup, post-release validation, and knowledge sharing to drive continuous improvement in software delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Playwright for automated testing of web applications (JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks
- Experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL) using tools like Postman or automated approaches
- Solid understanding of SDLC/Agile methodologies and working within cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and collaboration platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to debug and troubleshoot test failures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on QA automation experience with Playwright
- Certifications in test automation or related QA disciplines
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of additional automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
- Experience with test management tools (JIRA, HP ALM) and defect lifecycle
- Experience with performance testing basics and test automation maintenance
- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments or multi-cloud contexts
- Familiarity with security testing and data privacy considerations in test environments
- Java or Python for broader test automation or tooling
- Selenium, Cypress, or other modern automation libraries
- Postman scripting, automated API validation
- SQL proficiency for data verification; exposure to test data virtualization
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and multi-cloud considerations
- Basic understanding of cloud deployment concepts and test environment provisioning
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions; some experience with CI/CD governance
- Knowledge of security testing principles and regulatory considerations
- Test management tools; automation tooling ecosystems; performance testing integration
- Strong portfolio of Playwright-based automation projects or related certifications
- Effective communication and stakeholder management

- Adaptability to evolving tools and project requirements
