Job Summary
QA Automation Engineer focused on Playwright and TypeScript to build, maintain, and scale automated testing systems for a fast-growing SaaS product. This automation-first role emphasizes end-to-end automation frameworks, regression coverage across frontend and backend systems, and elimination of flaky tests. Responsibilities include expanding E2E automation coverage, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, maintaining scalable automation infrastructure, and collaborating with frontend/backend engineers to improve product quality. The ideal candidate can build reliable automation frameworks, diagnose asynchronous and network-interaction issues, and apply AI-assisted testing techniques to optimize testing speed and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Playwright
- Cypress background acceptable if willing to transition to Playwright
- Proven experience building and maintaining E2E automation frameworks
- Deep understanding of DOM interactions
- Network requests
- Asynchronous behavior
- Diagnosing flaky tests
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
