QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary
QA Automation Engineer to ensure quality, reliability, and scalability of Backblaze products across UI and API experiences. Own end-to-end testing and help define a strong quality strategy for new and existing features. Write structured test plans for new features, automate tests in Python/JavaScript, perform functional, integration and regression testing for API and user flows, leverage AI to accelerate testing workflows, and collaborate with developers to clarify functionality and resolve defects. Contribute to continual QA process improvement and bring expertise in API testing, automation tooling (Selenium/Playwright), test management (TestRail), and Agile/Scrum processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of QA experience
- Experience with API testing
- Familiarity with cloud storage concepts
- Experience with scripting and test automation software (such as Selenium or Playwright)
- Experience with a test case management tool (e.g., TestRail) and JIRA or similar
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and SDLC processes
- Good communication skills
- Cross-platform experience (Mac/Windows/Linux)
- Willingness to utilize AI tools to enhance testing workflows
